Have a story in that draw you’ve been meaning to dust off? Saved in a file you forgot the label of? Noting ideas but never finishing? Well here’s your chance to get your short stories in front of editors and have the chance to win a two week residency in 2026, and have your short story appear in the printed magazine of The Brussels Times. The word limit is 3000 words, and can be in English, French or Dutch.

The topic/theme this year is ‘Cry Me A River’ the same as the theme of our festival taking place in Namur on 11 October, 2025 at the library Celestine and MusAfrica.
