Alison Mooney is an Irish speechwriter, poet and dancer, living and working in Brussels.
In 2020, she won a Cicero Speechwriting Award, from the World Speechwriters’ Conference, for a poetic motivational speech, which led to her appointment as speechwriter to the President of the European Parliament.
In 2023, the first edition of her collection of multilingual poetry: Balance – in mind, in body, in soul was sold out within weeks. Ever since Alison has been giving poetry readings and joining conversations about how poetry and rhetoric can help reconcile political and societal differences.
