Maria Laura’s book ‘Per Un Sacco di carbone’ is on tour around Belgium this October as well as a play in Italian which has been developed from the book. She is a journalist and writer with over 40 years’ experience in journalism in Italy, Britain and Belgium for the Italian News Agency ANSA and other media.
She is the founding Chair of the Press Club Brussels Europe. Her book in Italian documents the migration contracted between Italy and Belgium for coal mining and the Italian communities who came to Belgium as a result.
